The exercise is useful to develop attacking skills of the dog. The dog keeps high drive and full biting in attack while swimming and doesn't have hard surface to put the legs on.

Central Asian shepherd

In fact it’s not the
same. There are several kinds of Central Asian shepherds, that are different by
their constitution. Alabay – is a kind of Central Asian shepherds which was
developed in Turkmenia and together with the famous Akhal-Teckin horses are
qualified as a national value. Another name of these dogs is Turkmenian
wolfhound. All these dogs were and are used primarily to defense herds. Since
the 30-ieth in the former Soviet Union cynologists made attempts to use these
shepherds for patrol and protection work.
Alexander Mazover, an outstanding
Russian cynologist, made a great contribution into the development of this
breed. In his book “Breeding in the service cynology” wrote that use of Central
Asian shepherds in the army gave promising results. In 1939 at a National
competition a Central Asian shepherd Archy (male) was a winner in inestigating,
and his son Packet – protecting work.
By the FCI this breed was registered in
1993. In recent years this breed gained popularity in Europe. Teaching these
dogs it’s better to choose various methods as they are very independent.

Happy end of an after flood dog's adventure
We got this nice labrador at night during the great flood in Obrenovac (Serbia). The dog felt lost and lonely and did not want to eat for a couple of days. She was a nice big girl, very well socialized. We chose right food for her, walked a lot and talked to her. At last we became friends. We called her Lara. However it was not her name she accepted it soon. Meanwhile we tried to find her owners, a lot of people were involved in it. Nearly a month passed since the flood and the story got it's happy end. Good luck, Lara!

Apelujemo da, ukoliko vidite životinje u nevolji, i njima pružite svoju pomoć u ovom treškom trenutku!!! Prethodnih dana, širom Srbije su njeni mnogi građani pokazali da uprkos svemu, ne zaboravljaju svoje najvernije prijatelje!
Udruženja su spremna da učestvuju u koordinaciji aktivnosti, spašavanja životinja, a mnogobrojni sugrađani su ponudili pomoć oko privremenog smeštaja za ljubimce dok su njihovi vlasnici u prihvatnim centrima. U Mikser house-u u Karađorđevoj 46 prikuplja se hrana za životinje sa nastradalog područja do 22h.
10-ak studenata Veterinarskog fakulteta se samoorganizovalo, prikupilo hranu za životinje i odnelo do sabirnih centara po Beogradu. I danas će nastaviti sa akcijom od 14 do 19 h, okupljanje je kod Veterinarskog fakulteta u Beogradu. #Poplave

German shepherd - old generation. From our family archives.
In !923 near Moscow a military kennel and dogs' school "Red Star" was created. Our family always took puppies from this kennel for socializing and training them under the supervision of the " Red Star" instructors. Those dogs were extremely responsible and reliable..

Mondioring seminar of Stefan van Meensel
A mondioring seminar with Stefan van Meensel was organized by the Training Club "HamHam United" in coooperation with K9 Club in Bucharest, March 18-20. Thanks to enthusiasm of Alex Davidesku and Tatyana Filippova two- and four-legged participants got excellent training in this exciting ring sport.
